My tour Bangkok

Bangkok is called a city of night. It was the early rainy season of last year while I visited Bangkok. We stepped at “Suvarnabhumi International Airport”. It was our first time experience to visit abroad. After completing all formalities at the Airport, we took a taxi and reached at our hotel. Our hotel was in a posh area of Bangkok named as “Sukhumvit”. Reason to choose this hotel was because of its prime location and its nightlife. Our one week trip to Bangkok started from that night with lots of excitement sketching ahead.

First night experience: It would be quite difficult for me to explain the nights that I had experienced at Bangkok. All the big shopping malls were shut down by 10:30 P. M. Then the actual night life began there. Streets were decorated with colorful lights and banners. There were plenty of small sheltered shops in the border line of the footpath.  «READ MORE»

What could not be found here? Ready made garments, jewelry, books, toys, cosmetics, shoes, bags etc. These footpath shops were offering lower price compared to big shopping malls. But do not get confused with the price. Footpath shops offer low quality products with cheaper price. One needs to do bargain with the shopkeeper to buy any product from these shops. We bought 2 pairs of snickers from one shop and moved forward to find out a restaurant to have our supper.

Problem finding "Halal" food: One of the problems that we faced in Bangkok was choosing food. We had to keep in mind to take “Halal” food and to be honest it was the most difficult task for us. We entered in a restaurant and gave order for Chinese food and mango juice. When our dishes were served, we felt for the first time that we were so much hungry to grab those. After having a heavy supper, we left the restaurant and started for our hotel. On our way to return the hotel, we bought 2 bottles of cold and fresh orange juice for 20 baht each. It took us 5 minutes to return our hotel. Our first night at Bangkok ended up with a deep sleep.

Major Attractions: We got up early in the following day. After completing our breakfast, we started for the real adventure. It was a shiny day and Bangkok took a different look in the day light. We started towards the nearest sky train station and bought coins to have a ride. It was our first time experience to ride a sky train. We really enjoyed the ride. We stopped in another station and got ready for our next adventure. Our next destination was towards the largest shopping mall of Bangkok. Its name was “Siam Paragon”- the pride of Bangkok. After entering the mall, we could realize the significance of its name. It was the largest and the most beautiful shopping mall that I had ever seen. At first, we bought tickets for the “Ocean World”. It was basically a underground big aquarium. Ocean World is in the ground floor of Siam Paragon. We had a boat ride and enjoyed the animal show there. We took pictures with dolphins and sharks which were kept within safety glasses (all were alive and running here and there). There were some shops inside the Ocean World. I bought one key ring for me and some souvenirs from one shop. Then we went to the first floor of the shopping mall.

Day in the forest: Large shops were well decorated with colorful and catchy papers, lights and glasses. These shops were offering expensive branded items. There were several large super stores in that floor. We walked around the floor and bought some gift items. We stayed in Siam Paragon till late evening and took our supper in a big Turkish restaurant. I would never forget the taste of the Turkish food. It was yummy. After filling up our empty stomach, we returned to our hotel. On our way to hotel, we could feel little drop of rain water with mild breeze. We went to sleep and took preparation for our next day tour. Our next day tour was in “Safari Park” which was another adventure that we had in the following day. We visited some other tourist places inside Bangkok. But no doubt, we enjoyed the nights at Bangkok very much. We can recall those nights at Bangkok till now.

Finally the day came when we had to leave Bangkok. All those nice days ran in the blink of an eye. We had to leave Bangkok with a heavy heart. There were so many tourist spots that we left unseen. We had heard about Pattaya, Chinmai and some other places outside Bangkok. Hopefully you will not miss visiting those places as I know I won't during my next time.
